When we talk about education what comes to mind is the idea of school or university.
Some people, however, still believe that sitting in class and listening to a teacher's lecture and lesson is education, while others say that education is training young people to become responsible people.
Perhaps the topic of education will be a topic of discussion for different people because the world is and will be involved in discussions on different parts of the world. Changes in the world have given rise to many opportunities and threats.
As a nation of this world, Afghans must prepare themselves for these challenges and be as courageous as the nations of other countries that have built good and needy communities.
Education has a great social significance, scholars and philosophers of all ages have started from the earliest and earlier stages and then reached higher levels.
For example, sees education as an "institution that creates equality among students, unites them through a shared vision and creates a better humanitarian community."
Afghanistan is a country where many children live in poverty, violence and a society that is abused and does not even have access to basic living facilities and education.
The government must do more to provide basic services to the people. On the other hand, the government alone should not be enough.
As a backward and war-torn society, I believe that each and every one of us should play a role in this, especially the educated people, as the great thinker Plato says: Be a leader because the more educated people in the population, the more capable they are of making important decisions. "
How can we play our part in building a better society, and make education our journey?
1- Creating a uniform atmosphere and equality among the students
If we put his words into practice in Afghanistan, which is a multi-ethnic country and where different ethnic groups are divided, it has the potential to play a role in promoting unity among the nation.
He said it would be useful if our educational institutions and foundations were removed from politics and students were allowed to focus on their education instead of politics and ethnic discourse.
2- Sharing ideas
It is the responsibility of each of us to share what we have learned so that we can create awareness among our people and our community.
Students who go abroad for higher education, especially those studying international norms, standards and principles, can use the things they have learned in their home country when needed.
3- Build a happy and stable society
Afghanistan is indeed a noisy country.
If we want to have a healthy nation, we must first build a just society that can be governed by the principles of the state (democratic system) of people's government for the people.
Most people do not understand the principles of democracy, the success of democracy in multi-ethnic societies.
Undoubtedly, education is an important and inseparable part of life; without which life would have practically no meaning.
On the other hand, it is clear that education is the key to all success, so we must:
- Government: Maintain security, spend more on education and provide assistance to poor families to send their children to school.
- Parents: Send their children to school without thinking whether their child is a girl or a boy.
- Men: Prioritize education for themselves and their female family members, respect every woman as their sister, and do not harass her.
- Women: Take a step forward, education is a fundamental right, let society decide. One day they will be tired and you will take the lead.
I believe that without education and training we would be useless as a nation.
