Najib Tarakai, a member of the Afghan national cricket team, who was injured in a traffic accident in Nangarhar a few days ago, died in hospital last night.

"The leadership and staff of the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) consider the death of Najibullah Tarakai a great and irreparable loss," the ACB said.
Najib Tarakai, 29, has played in 13 international tournaments, the ICC said.
Najib Tarakai's death has caused outrage on social media.
