Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan has backed a ceasefire in Afghanistan. In a telephone conversation with Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani last evening, the Pakistani Prime Minister discussed bilateral relations, the peace process and the establishment of a ceasefire in Afghanistan.
President Ghani has extended an official invitation to Imran Khan to visit Kabul, the Presidential Palace said.
Speaking at the Presidential Palace, Khan thanked the Afghan President for the invitation and said he would visit Kabul in the near future.

A statement from the Presidential Palace said that the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the President of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani had a telephone conversation on Monday to discuss bilateral relations, the peace process and the establishment of a ceasefire in Afghanistan.
A spokesman for the Afghan vice president, Dawa Khan Minapal, said the Pakistani prime minister had stressed the need for a ceasefire in Afghanistan.
