Six army soldiers and three policemen have been killed in a clash with the Taliban in northern Takhar province.
A source said today (Monday, September 21) that four soldiers were injured in the clash.
According to the source, the clash started last night in Nawababad village of Dasht-e-Kala district when the Taliban attacked the posts of Afghan forces.
"The clashes lasted for an hour and the Taliban also suffered casualties, but the exact number is not clear," the source said.
Local officials and the Taliban have not yet commented.
