What is the healthiest way to eat?
What is the healthiest way to eat? Not by leaving food out all day and thinking you'll have a salad. So how do we manage to eat the best? Simple: eat what we want, but in the best way. Keep the majority of our diets healthy but eat the best and healthiest foods. Eating the best gives us the best chance to live a healthy life, yet the healthiest way to eat is a complicated way to learn and find out what works best for us. Not eating what you want doesn't provide a healthy diet, but eating the healthiest does.
I have learned so much in my three years as a registered dietitian about health and nutrition, but the biggest lesson is what we eat and how to eat it. Eat whole food whenever possible and when it's not, make it into a healthy meal with good quality ingredients. Eating the healthiest is better for your health, better for your family and in my opinion, it's the best way to eat. If you're reading this and thinking "but the best way to eat is what I grew up eating," I say, "Eat healthily. Eat the healthiest, way." Eat the way we want to be healthy and enjoy the healthiest you ever will.
